„Well, people come into this world naked and I consider naked bodies to be people’s original, authentic look.
So i feel the real existence of people through their naked bodies“

How far can you go?
The inspiration for this project is Ren Hang, a Chinese photographer, who got famous because of taking nude pictures of his friends.
Its not easy to find out Ren’s longing and his imposition.
He is a shy guy. Reserved. Not talking much. He hardly gives interviews and if so he answers in short sentences.
Even his friends don’t disclose much about him.
To find out more about him, I click from page to page through his photos.
I read his diary entries, in which he kind of opens up a bit. He talks openly but still in mysteries about his depression and his feelings.
One wish gets clear.
Understanding, acceptance and belonging.
No more justifying, no explaining for what he’s doing, what he is.
He found his own solution, maybe just a balance. With courage and humor he takes himself and others not to serious and the results are emotional, courageous, funny, unusual and spectaculary pictures.
The collection deals with the moral limits and freedoms.
How far is it allowed to go?
